Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area

The Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area in Addison is a conservation area for much of the flora and fauna of western Vermont. Most of the area is open for bird hunting in the fall; hunting license fees and tax on ammunition fund part of the budget of the Dead Creek Wildlife Area.

D.A.R. State Park

D.A.R. State Park is 95 acres of land that was donated to the state of Vermont in 1955 by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The park is used predominantly for camping, with 70 sites available. A picnic area is on the bluff overlooking the lake, and boating, fishing, swimming, and sailing opportunities are provided here.
