Button Bay State Park Button Bay State Park is located along Lake Champlain, on a bluff in Ferrisburg. The 253 acre area originally was operated as a farm, but was opened as a state park in 1964. The park features a large open picnic shelter intended for group gatherings. D.A.R. State Park D.A.R. State Park is 95 acres of land that was donated to the state of Vermont in 1955 by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The park is used predominantly for camping, with 70 sites available. A picnic area is on the bluff overlooking the lake, and boating, fishing, swimming, and sailing opportunities are provided here. Kill Kare State Park Kill Kare State Park is named for the Kill Kare summer camp for boys, which operated from this site in the early to mid 1900s. Many of the summer camp facilities are still here, but have been revamped to fit present uses. In the center of the park is a three story building that now features modern restroom facilities and two public lobby areas with reproductions of historic photographs.
